LYRICS
Reviews:

This Texan band had their stuff down, there's no doubt about it and neither is there about what state they're from. The first side is full of rapid fire, guitar-led noises that retain the tunes yet don't relent in their attack. The lyrics are well-written originals of social and political themes delivered with a bit of personal perspective. "Let the Night Roar" is interspersed with slow Minutemen-sounding rant parts and "Hang 'em High" begins like Alive Cooper's "Eighteen" before launching into its assault. Side two is more experimental. One of the two long songs on that side is the torturous "Just the Facts Ma'am." It's almost like a soundtrack for a science fiction spy thriller with bits of dialouge added to a slow bubbling pot that twangs and bumps causing your aggravation to boil. I'm thankful it's not just another delightful record. Get it and rest in pain.
